Privacy policy
This draft describes the storefront’s current data flows. It is not a final legal policy.

Who is responsible for your information?
The business is The Scent Realm, registered in Texas, United States (“The Scent Realm,” “we,” or “us”). Its mailing address has not yet been provided. Privacy questions can be sent to rocha@thescentrealm.com.
Information used by the storefront
- Customer accounts: Clerk processes account information used to sign in. If you connect Shop, we receive the Shop profile information Shopify makes available through your consent and associate it with your signed-in account.
- Favorites: Signed-in customers with a linked Shop account can save fragrances to the app database for account syncing. Unlinking Shop removes the stored Shop profile and link from the app database.
- Shopping cart: The storefront stores a Shopify cart identifier in browser storage and sends cart items to Shopify. Shopify-hosted checkout collects the delivery, contact, and payment information needed for an order; the storefront does not receive payment card details.
- Essential storage: Browser storage supports sign-in, cart continuity, favorites, and this privacy preference. These functions do not require optional interaction analytics.
- Analytics: Optional storefront interaction events are sent only after you accept them in Cookie settings. Replit may separately provide automatic page-view analytics when the site owner enables that feature in Publishing. Confirm the applicable settings and disclosures before publication.
Service providers
The current implementation uses these services; confirm the complete provider list and database host before publication:
- Replit: Hosts the storefront and app services. Replit may separately provide page-view analytics if the site owner enables that feature in Publishing.
- Clerk: Processes sign-in and authentication for customer accounts.
- Shopify Shop: Provides Sign in with Shop and, with your consent, verified account identity/profile information that the app stores alongside your Clerk account.
- Shopify: Supplies the published product catalog, cart, and hosted checkout. Shopify collects the delivery, contact, and payment information needed to process an order.
- Google Fonts: Provides typefaces requested by the storefront.
- PostgreSQL database (host not confirmed): Stores saved-fragrance records for account syncing and linked Shop profile information.
Choices, requests, and retention
You can change optional analytics choices using Cookie settings, remove saved fragrances, or unlink your Shop account in the storefront. Unlinking removes the Shop account link and profile held by the app; Shopify may continue to hold its own records. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of account information, contact rocha@thescentrealm.com. The stated retention period is 30 days; which records it covers and when that period begins still need confirmation before this policy is finalized.
Children and applicable law
The stated minimum customer age is 16. The business is registered in Texas, United States. Applicable privacy laws and any additional rights depend on the places where it offers products; review these requirements before publication.
